SINS AND PUNISHMENTS
THE VESTIBULE: This Is The First Part Of Hell That You Come Across In Dante's Inferno. It Is Reserved For The Indecisive. The Souls Here In The Vestibule Were Called "Opportunists" Who In Life Were Only For Themselves, And Were Neither Good Nor Bad. It Was Also Where All Of The Angels Who Didn't Take A Side During The War Against God. The Punishment For This Area Of Hell Is The Souls Have To Follow An Aimless Banner That Never Plants Itself. The Souls Are Also Chased And Stung By Hornets. While This Is All Going On, Maggots And Worms Are Eating The Blood From All Of The Stings, And A Horrid-Sounding Choir Of Angels singing.
CIRCLE 1 (LIMBO): Limbo Is The First Circle You See When You Go Into The Inferno. This Circle Is Reserved For The Unbaptized, The Virtuous, And The Pagan. The Souls Here Suffer No Physical Punishment, But They Are Separated From God For Whom They Truly Desire Above All Else. They Are Experiencing The Afterlife They Imagined For Themselves. In This Circle, There Is A Large Caste With 7 Gates And 7 Walls. It Is Made So To Resemble The Elysian Fields.
CIRCLE 2: Circle 2 Is The Next Circle In Upper Hell, And Is Reserved For All Of The Lustful People In Life. The punishment for the souls is that they are Driven, Swept, And Blasted Everywhere By A Dark Storm That Follows Everyone In This Circle. They Are Being Swept Away By The Storm As They Were Driven By Their Passions During Their Lifetimes. This Circle Is a very dark and gloomy land, and is very hard to see anything.
CIRCLE 3: The next circle on the journey to the depths of hell is circle 3. this circle is where all of the gluttonous people are sent. the punishment for these filth is they are battered by hail, rain, sleet, and snow. they also lie in dirty, slimy, mucky water while being clawed by cerberus. during their lives, these people took comfort to food. Here they lie in their own filth like pigs while being miserably cold.
CIRCLE 4: the following Area, Circle 4, holds the greedy people in life. this circle contains 2 different types of greediness: the hoarders and the spenders. these are the two types of greed. the punishment these sinners suffer is they each push heavy weights in an opposite semicircle direction (spenders pushing one way and hoarders pushing the other) until they come to a crash and start it all over again. the opposite directions points out that they misused their wealth in different ways, and the weight of each sinner's weight varies depending on the burden of their wealth. this circle is located in a dingy gray stream that flows to the next river in hell, which will be seen in the next circle.
CIRCLE 5: the final circle of upper hell is the fifth circle. This circle is for the wrathful and the slothful. the sinners here are in the swampy river styx. the wrathful's punishment is they forever have to hit, bite, scratch, and fight each other above the surface of the river. the slothful lie underneath the water and cannot rise because they were too lazy in life.
